i've wanted to wear a lot of make up lately. i mean a lot. i never see anyone with bold makeup and i don't like it.
well thats not true. summer 2010, in response to the popularity of ru paul's drag race obv, the queens are out like never before. i keep referencing this summer-o-drag as "that ru paul, shaking things up a bit." "summer of ru" "giving courage to the already excessively confident" or what ever flies off of my tounge while on the train and texting/telling someone about some fboosh deev (like diva)that im creeping hard.
p.s. when i get a "girl, you work that syle." from the deevs i love it more than anything. even the skeevy deevs. i may clench my iphone harder in my pocket, and you maybe wearing kahki capris?(real talk)but grrrl its these moments of acknowledgment/unity in trying times that keep our heads up. and before you belittle being in stilettos and false lashes, or mini shorts and neon boots, while riding the red line at 3am, i'd really like to see you try it. wearing what you want to takes sacrifice, and if you haven't been judged because of what you wear i highly suggest that you push your self-expression boundaries.
but i guess what im saying is that aside from the DEEEVAs i don't see enough bold makeup, and that is a shame, because it really is totally awesome. imo, more awesome than an outfit that relies on a statement piece. painting one's one body harkens back to really primitive urges/yearnings for self adornment. ..and anything that can reference both animalistic psychological urges, and have interpretations of historical fashion/style/design.. that's kind of awesome.
but i mean, it is also kind of wierd? just drawing around your eyes?
