i was going to try to vaguely summarize the fusion of neon, and fashion, and urban life, or i guess i could cite this really-out-of-touch, kind of offensive article.
"rise of the black hipster"
i have to say, even mentioning Asher Roth, the fucking poster boy for a series of never-to-be-published articles im writing in my own head titled (more like ENtitled..am i right? ba-dum-ch) "WHITE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST", made this article hurt. almost as much as it's handling of individual agency.
with that link working as the summation, i guess i'll share an outfit that got loads of compliments from "these ppl". You know that this is a joke right? *FACE PALM* This is all one big fucking joke.
Is this whole thing sounding like an, "Well, I'm not racist but..."? most likely? well here is the long and the short of it.. "Well, I'm not racist but... my clothes matched and there were hints of sexuality?"
p.s. my favorite "compliment" went as follows;
"liz, i really like your outfit today a lot. when usually i.."
"..don't like it at all?"
"no, i usually only like PARTS of it. i usually only like PARTS of your outfits."

what? were you expecting a kefeyah and gold hoops? that IS racist.
