Trying to get into Blogger.
Thursday, February 04, 2010 @ 10:24 AMSo, I'm starting to get the feel for the interface for Blogger and understand its many setting pages. I still struggle with some of the entry formatting but I'm sure I'll get it soon enough.
I'm very excited about everything! (well most things?) I have just gotten over (still have) a sinus cold/winter hibernation so today I am dedication to finish my ToDo list; which includes house hold projects, product organization for my online store, and household cleaning that has piled up while being sick.
I'll do my best to keep every entry visually stimulating, so here is the STUFFF;
This is my life partner Pat, he is pretty awesome? Yes. While I figure out all my life jumbles Pat is busy in school with 5 classes, a major and two minors, and hours and hours of reading every night. Not only is he busy with studies he also loves being domestic as much as meeee!
These are all the Christmas cookies that Pat made this year! Except for the Tiramisu, most desserts weren't that sweet because they were meant to be eaten with many cups of coffee (or homemade bailey's)!
#1.Homemade Chocolate Tiramisu (homemade cake, zabaglione, everything!)
Orig. Tiramisu recipe
Ina Garten's Chocolate Cake
#2.Gingerbread Cookies (snowmen, trees, and men) I did decorate the cookies, but being in a time crunch only some were finished. (WE MADE 70+ COOKIES!) The frostings were either royal icing, or a confectioner sugar glaze, which there are oodles of variations of online.
Sugar cookies (stockings, stars, candy canes)
Gingerbread, a nice chewy recipe!
I'm not sure what recipe was used for the sugar cookies..but.. meh they weren't the best recipe we have so it's not worth it. :/
#3. Pastura! I can't recommend this enough! If biscotti is either too intimidating, or too crunchy for you this is an amazing Italian coffee companion! (And with Pat's family being multi-generation Chicago Italians it is a MUST HAVEEEE.) It is really easy and a show stopper!!
So I'm going to try to post everyday! Pat actually just got home for a break between classes and we are going to have coffee and watch Martha....REAL TALK!
